Calibration

Pulmac has available reference fibers in the form of test sheets with known FS and L test numbers. We have developed a Quick Check Program for use with the Z-Span instruments.

Z-Span 1000 or 1200 Quick Check Program
Contents:
  • Run Instructions for Reference Fibers.
  • Maintenance Checklist and Work Instructions.
  • Reference Fiber testing preparation diagrams.
  • Five pre-weighed Reference Fibers. (Reference Fiber wafers are packaged in zip lock plastic bags. Percent basis weight and number on the reference fiber wafer and on outside label.)
  • Data Collection Worksheet.

Z-Span 2000 or 2400 Quick Check Program
Contents:
  • Instructions for running reference fibers.
  • Six sets of three pre-weighed reference fibers. (Sets of reference fibers are packaged in zip lock plastic bags and separated by "red paper". Percent basis weight is on top sheet of reference fiber set and on outside label. Reference fiber set number is on "red paper" and on outside label)
  • Data collection Worksheet.
