AutoFilter
The AutoFilter (AF) automatically captures contaminants from Pulmac MasterScreen for display or weighing. The AF is placed under the discharge valve of the MasterScreen and captures rejects and water at the end of the screening cycle. The AF filters water through the filter paper, leaving contaminants deposited on the filter paper. Filtering is performed using three functions. First the AF cartridge slides out, a new filter paper is placed into it and the slid back in. At the end of the screening cycle the AF collection tube seeals onto the cartridge by the PLC. Next the AF accepts all the watewr and contaminants from the MasterScreen. Once all the contaminants are flushed out of the screening chamber, the AF mix function is activated. This randomizes the contaminants for discrete distribution onto filter paper. The AF vacuum is them activated which filters the water through the filter paper. Once all the water is filtered, the collection tube rises to allow the AF cartridge to be removed so that the filter paper can be accessed for further processing.
Displays are automatically generated to minimize analysis steps after screening. This enhances the speed that a test takes and the repeatability of running the test. Speed and repeatability are essential for providing credible and timely data to support critical process decision making or to label contaminant loading to the customer.
Bottom-line: Labor saving and more credible data.
